Mission:
The PA East chapter of ASID is the region's definitive resource for
knowledge sharing, advocacy of interior designers' right-to-practice,
professional education and the development of interior design markets.
What is ASID?
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is the largest residential
and commercial membership organization for interior designers. Pennsylvania
East Chapter of the ASID is one of forty-eight chapters located in
the United States. ASID National is headquartered in Washing, DC,
and provides more than 30,000 members with ongoing resources, education,
and support.
What do ASID Interior Designers Do?
ASID interior designers work with residential and commercial clients.
They listen to client needs, examine options, the provide the right
feeling and environment the client desired. The Pennsylvania East
Chapter offers two avenues for the client community to get introduced
to ASID interior Designers. The Chapter Referral Service and the Designer
Consulting Service have been setup for introductory services.
Why are ASID designers most qualified?
Professional members of the ASID have qualified for membership
acceptance through a combination of education, experience, and examinations.
The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) is
the two-day accreditation examination.
